All candles consist of an inner candle (made of solid wax) which burns down to the bottom.  The inner candle is surrounded by 30-40 seashells and more wax which is poured in to fill the mold.  There is just enough air space between the inner candle and outer wax with seashells to keep them separate.  The photo here shows how the candle burns down in the center space.

Once the inner candle has burned to the bottom, just insert the REFILL CANDLE   which is included with each candle you purchase.  

The Flat Braided Wick used gives a slight curl when burning which reduces carbon buildup and makes the wicks self-trimming.  This wick is constructed of 100% natural fibers with a chemical treatment to improve the burning performance.

 For those allergic to scents, candles are available with NO SCENT (one of your choices in the shopping cart).  Since the demand is low for unscented candles, shipping will be 1-2 weeks after receipt of your order.

The seashells have been handpicked on beaches of Massachusetts, Rhode Island and the Florida Gulf.  We strive to pick up seashells after they have washed up on the beach.
