All candles have an inner candle (made of solid wax) which burns down.  The outer wax and seashells remain intact.  The photo here shows how the candle burns down in the center space.

Candles can be inserted in the burned down space.   A REFILL CANDLE is included with each candle you purchase.  

The Flat Braided Wick used gives a slight curl when burning which reduces carbon buildup and makes the wicks self-trimming.  This wick is constructed of 100% natural fibers with a chemical treatment to improve the burn performance. 

 For those allergic to scents, candles can be made with NO SCENT (one of your choices in the shopping cart).  Since the demand is low for unscented candles, shipping will be 1-2 weeks after receipt of your order.

The seashells have been handpicked on beaches of Massachusetts and the Florida Gulf.  We strive to pick up seashells which have washed up on the beach after the living resident has left its home!!
