Are you wondering "How fragile are these seashells?" Before I even consider using a seashell, I try to break it in half. Many break in half and that's that! However, more than half pass this test. The next test is standing up to the drill as I drill the hole in the seashell. Some can't meet this test, but most do. Thirdly, as I begin twisting wire on the seashell, this too is added stress. A few shells can't take it and break. Therefore, if a shell survives these 3 steps, you can see that it is sturdy and will give you long life if you treat it kindly.
